Powertip has grown to become a leading manufacturer of small and medium-sized color TFT and monochrome displays, as well as resistive and capacitive touch panels. It is headquartered in Taichung, Taiwan, with manufacturing facilities in Taiwan and Nanjing, China. Powertip's product offerings address key industries including medical, industrial, automotive, consumer, home appliances, communications, test and measurement, and gas pumps/parking meters.
Powertip's manufacturing capabilities include surface mount technology (SMT), chip-on-board (COB), chip-on-glass (COG), chip-on-flex (COF), tape-automated bonding (TAB), and screen printing. To produce a typical LCD panel, Powertip must take the parent glass, etch it, cut it, fill the cells with liquid crystals, and then sandwich the two glass panels. Polarizers, color filters, and all the other back-end manufacturing processes needed to create a complete, to-spec LCD module are then added.
To accelerate product development and simplify integration, Powertip offers an HMI control board based on ARM architecture. The offer includes STN/VATN LCD modules with in-cell touch technology, OGS (One Glass Solution) capacitive touch panels and advanced touch solutions, designed to ensure waterproofness and full functionality even with the use of gloves.
Powertip's vision is to create "Displays for Advanced Technology", focusing on diligence, enthusiasm and innovation in designing and developing the ideal visual and touch solution for our valued customers. Powertip's talented and experienced R&D and Manufacturing teams work tirelessly to deliver products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
